Insurance pay-out refused — recovered through a court-ordered expert examination
An insurer refused Ms A.’s claim, arguing that the damage to her car did not match the accident. Attorney Elizbar Margiev obtained a court-ordered expert examination that confirmed the accident was real — the claim was granted and over 1 million roubles recovered.

Attorney Elizbar Margiev (then an attorney of the bar association)
The task
Ms A. was refused an insurance pay-out: the insurer claimed the damage to her car was inconsistent with the accident. A claim letter enclosing an independent valuation and a trace-evidence report was ignored, and the financial ombudsman also refused.
What we did
The attorney filed a court claim for the insurance indemnity, penalties, the statutory fine, moral damages and costs, and moved for a court-ordered expert examination, since the examinations relied on by the insurer and the ombudsman had been carried out with material breaches of the law.
The outcome
The court-ordered examination confirmed the accident was genuine and assessed repair costs above the statutory maximum. The claim was granted: the client recovered the indemnity, penalties, the statutory fine, moral damages and costs — more than 1 million roubles in total.
